RELIEF OPERATION FOR TAAL ERUPTION VICTIMS
After Taal volcano’s recent volcanic activity, the employees of McBride immediately insisted on having a relief operation for the victims of the eruption.
An office memorandum announcing that the company is accepting cash and in kind donations was instantly released by the Human Resource department. Right after this announcement, employees from every plant started donating cash, old clothes, and even the rice incentive that they’ve received from the previous months. Because of these generous donations, we were able to produce 100 relief bags containing grocery items, rice, and drinking water.
Aside from their donations, some clients have shown support for the relief operation. Refilling stations’ Frac Aquatech Enterprise and ML Waterworks were given free McBride bottles to be refilled and distributed to eruption victims in affected areas. Meanwhile, Oregon Tolling donated 200 bottles of drinking water.
To make this possible, the company partnered with Batangas City’s Councilor, Aileen Montalbo. With everyone’s cooperation, we were able to distribute these relief items to the Taal eruption victims residing in Batangas City.
